Forty-One Student-Athletes Earn PSUAC Fall All-Academic Honors
MEDIA, Pa. – A total of 41 Penn State Brandywine student-athletes representing all seven of the athletic department's fall varsity teams were named to the Penn State University Athletic Conference All-Academic Team on Tuesday.
To claim the award, student-athletes must earn a minimum GPA of 3.0 during their semester of competition or own a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater and be at least a sophomore in both their academic and athletic standing.
With 14 honorees, Brandywine's two-time PSUAC champion women's soccer team led all fall squads. Men's soccer, also the two-time defending PSUAC champion, produced 12 award winners.
After winning its second PSUAC title, the Brandywine volleyball team saw five players honored, while the cross country and women's tennis squads both had four all-academic selections. Following its first season since being reinstated as a varsity sport, men's golf posted a pair of award winners.
Over 56 percent of Brandywine's 73 student-athletes who competed in a fall varsity sport were honored overall. Brandywine's fall teams combined to win three PSUAC championships and the team sports (men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball) combined for a 36-0 record against league opponents.
