Brandywine Secures Sixth PSUAC Chancellors’ Cup

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Penn State Brandywine claimed its second-straight and sixth overall Penn State University Athletic Conference Chancellors' Cup as announced by the league on Tuesday.

Awarded since 2008-09, the Chancellors' Cup is given to the top athletic department in the conference as measured by points for finish at conference championships in each of the league's sponsored sports.

Brandywine now owns the most Chancellors' Cups in conference history after winning for the fifth time in the last six years. Brandywine athletics has finished in first or second place in the standings in 12-straight years.

Aided by championships in men's soccer and softball, Brandywine totaled 67 points during the 2021-22 academic year, 10 more than runner-up Penn State Greater Allegheny. Men's soccer earned 11 points for its championship, while softball garnered 10 points.

In addition, Brandywine men's basketball received 13 points after finishing as the PSUAC runner-up and baseball claimed 10 points as it placed third in the PSUAC Tournament.

Women's basketball and volleyball both earned 8.5 points toward the Chancellors' Cup, while the golf team posted 3.5 points and women's soccer claimed 2.5 points. All of Brandywine's teams reached the conference postseason, one of three departments to boast the feat.

Rounding out the top five in the Chancellors' Cup standings were Greater Allegheny (57 points), Schuylkill (55), Mont Alto (54.5) and York (53).
