35 Brandywine Fall Student-Athletes Named United East Scholar Athletes

MEDIA, Pa. -- Thirty-Five Penn State Brandywine fall student-athletes were selected as Scholar Athletes by the United East Conference at the conclusion of the fall semester.
 
Brandywine's Scholar Athletes included honorees from all five of its fall sports: men's cross country, women's cross country, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball. 
 
To be selected as a United East Scholar Athlete, student-athletes competing in a fall conference-sponsored sport must earn a grade-point average of 3.2 or greater during the fall semester and be in good standing with his or her respective team. 
 
Men's soccer produced a department-high 12 Scholar Athletes, while the volleyball team saw nine players honored and the women's soccer team received seven selections. Men's and women's cross country combined to have seven student-athletes gain honors as four on the women's side and three from the men's side were selected.
