Brandywine fails to bring home runners, fall to Eastern

Brandywine's batters struggled to produce runs with men on bases in a close game for seven innings.  Brandywine left a total of eight men on base throughout the game and suffered a 9-0 loss. Brian Pennock and Matthew Trotta both pitched three innings each, allowing a total of nine hits and just one earned run, striking out four.  Troubles came in the eighth inning when Eastern University scored six runs. Brandywine had multiple opportunities to bring home runners but failed to do so.  Brandywine will look to shake off their loss in their next meeting with Penn State Hazleton on Saturday, April 13.
