LANGHORNE, Pennsylvania – The Penn State Brandywine baseball team dropped its second-straight game, falling 8-1 at Cairn on Tuesday afternoon.
Brandywine took a 1-0 lead in the first inning after Josh Dellipriscoli (Prospect Park, Pa./Interboro) worked a leadoff walk, stole second base, and later scored.
Cairn answered with a run in the third and then pulled in front after Caleb Lang's sacrifice fly. The Highlanders added three runs in the seventh and eighth innings.
Lang went 2-for-5 and drove in five runs for Cairn. Brandywine was limited to three hits, singles from Evan Cline (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven), Tom Osenbach (Newtown Square, Pa./West Chester Christian) and Chris Keenan (Chester, Pa./Strath Haven).
Brandywine faces Baptist Bible Wednesday morning at Diamond Nation at 11:00 am.
