Bosco Claims Player Of The Week Honors

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine senior righthander Brian Bosco (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) has been tabbed as the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Pitcher of the Week and Penn State University Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

Bosco helped Brandywine to a sweep of Penn State DuBois on Saturday during the Lions' first league games, limiting DuBois to one run on four hits, all singles, over seven innings. He fanned seven, including the side in the seventh, and retired the final seven hitters he faced in order during his lone appearance of the week.

In four starts this spring, Bosco owns a 2-2 record and a 4.38 earned run average. He has struck out 19 during 24 2/3 innings on the mound.

Brandywine (7-13, 3-1 PSUAC) hosts Marywood Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 pm.
