Bosco Lands Second PSUAC Pitching Award

MEDIA, Pa. --  Penn State Brandywine senior right-hander Brian Bosco (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) was named Penn State University Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second-straight week on Wednesday.

Bosco pitched all seven innings during Brandywine's 6-4 victory over Penn State Schuylkill on Sunday. He struck out four, while allowing four runs (two earned) on seven hits to pick up his team-leading third win of the spring.

Bosco is tied for the PSUAC lead in wins and strikeouts (23) and ranks third with 31 2/3 innings pitched. His 3.98 earned run average is good for seventh in the league. In two conference starts this season, Bosco is 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA.

First-place Brandywine opens a six-game road trip with four games in Pittsburgh this weekend. The Lions face Penn State Greater Allegheny Saturday and Penn State Beaver on Sunday.
