Harriers Use Big Inning To Run Away From Brandywine

VERO BEACH, Fla. – Miami-Hamilton plated 17 runs during the bottom of the sixth inning en route to a 22-6 victory over the Penn State Brandywine baseball team on Saturday night.

The Harriers built a 5-1 lead through five frames before blowing the game open by sending 24 batters to the plate during its big sixth inning.

John Gorgone (Ridley, Pa./Ridley) registered the 100th hit of his career with a first-inning single through the left side and later used a sacrifice fly to drive in the Lions' second run.

Stephen James (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) recorded a pair of singles and knocked in one, while Brian Reynolds (Newtown Square, Pa./Marple Newtown) delivered two hits and two RBI.

Brandywine plays two more games at Dodgertown on Sunday against Miami-Hamilton (4:00 pm) and Grace College (7:00 pm).
