Cyrie Spencer Named PSUAC Player Of The Week

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pennsylvania -- Penn State Brandywine freshman forward Cyrie Spencer (Sharon Hill, Pa./Academy Park) was selected as the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.

During three games last week, Spencer produced a pair of double-doubles, while averaging 17.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Spencer also added three steals, three assists and two blocks. He established a new career high by netting 20 points against Penn State New Kensington on Saturday.

In 14 games this winter (12 starts), Spencer leads the Lions and ranks fifth in the league in rebounding, averaging 9.1 boards per game, and stands second in scoring at 13.9 ppg. He owns five double-doubles, while also producing 14 steals and five blocked shots.

Brandywine returns to the court Wednesday when it hosts Penn State York at 6:00 pm.
