Men’s Basketball Reveals 2018-19 Slate

MEDIA, Pa. -- First-year Head Coach Justin Dunbar-Stevens announced the 2018-19 schedule for his Penn State Brandywine men's basketball team, the defending champion of the Penn State University Athletic Conference, on Thursday.

Complete 2018-19 schedule

This season's 25-game slate begins with four non-conference games, including two at Rowan University's tip-off tournament to open the season on Nov. 8-9. Matchups for the tournament will be determined at a later date.

After a trip to Haverford College on Nov. 14, Brandywine plays its first home game of the season six days later against Bryn Athyn College. The Lions close out November with a pair of home PSUAC games against Penn State Hazleton (Nov. 27) and Penn State Mont Alto (Nov. 30).

Brandywine will play all three of its December games on the road, beginning with a conference championship rematch at Penn State Wilkes Barre on Dec. 5. The Lions knocked off Wilkes Barre 72-63 in the title game, winning their first-ever conference championship. The teams also played a thriller during the regular season as Brandywine claimed a 109-100, double-overtime victory on Wilkes Barre's home floor last December.

Two days after facing Wilkes Barre, Brandywine travels to Penn State Scranton and then visits Penn State Schuylkill on Dec. 15 before beginning a three-week break from games during the holidays.

After the calendar flips to 2019, Brandywine hosts the University of Valley Forge on Jan. 8 before closing out the month with nine consecutive conference games. Less than 24 hours after the Valley Forge matchup, Brandywine makes a trip to Penn State Lehigh Valley and then returns to its home court for Saturday matinee against Penn State York (Jan. 12) and a rematch with Penn State Wilkes Barre on Jan. 15.

First-year program Penn State Shenango plays host to Brandywine on Jan. 18, while the Lions close out their weekend in western Pennsylvania the following afternoon at Penn State New Kensington.

Four home games await Brandywine during the final nine days of January with contests against Penn State Scranton (Jan. 23), Penn State Fayette (Jan. 25), Penn State Beaver (Jan. 26) and Penn State Schuylkill (Jan. 29).

February begins a sprint to the finish as Brandywine will play six games, five on the road, during the regular season's final two weeks.

The Lions make their second trip to western Pennsylvania on Feb. 1-2 for games at Penn State DuBois and Penn State Greater Allegheny. Brandywine's Feb. 7 trek is much shorter as the Lions drive two miles down Route 352 for a non-conference game at Williamson. The team ends its road trip at Penn State York (Feb. 9) and Penn State Hazleton (Feb. 12).

The regular season comes to a conclusion on Feb. 15 when Brandywine hosts Penn State Lehigh Valley.

Coming off its first 20-win season since 2005-06, Brandywine returns seven players from last year's conference championship squad.
