USCAA Names Pat Gallagher Player Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- Senior Pat Gallagher (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) was tabbed as the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday after leading Penn State Brandywine offensively last week.

Gallagher set career highs in scoring during both of Brandywine's games as he poured in 36 points on 13-of-20 shooting at Valley Forge and four days later netted 40 points against Penn State Scranton.

Gallagher made six of his eight three-point attempts against Valley Forge, while adding eight rebounds, three assists and two steals. Four days later, he knocked down five three-pointers and 16 field goals in total en route to producing Brandywine's first 40-point game in 12 years. His 40 points represent the seventh-highest, single-game total in team history.

In 23 games this winter, Gallagher ranks third in the PSUAC in scoring at 18.3 points per game and third in assists per game (4.3).

Brandywine closes out the home portion of its schedule Tuesday night against Penn State York at 8:00 pm.
