Lions Finish Eighth On Penn State’s White Course

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's golf team claimed a eighth-place showing at Monday's PSUAC Invitational on the White Course at Penn State University.

As a team, Brandywine posted 359 strokes, while Penn State Lehigh Valley earned the team championship by totaling 313. Brian Zinman of Penn State Lehigh Valley was the individual champion after collecting 71 strokes.

Brad Dawson (Southern Pines, N.C./Pinecrest) and Kyle North (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) shared the scoring lead for Brandywine as both posted rounds of 80. Their scores were good enought to tie for ninth in the 56-competitor field.

Shane Freeman (Lower Gwynedd, Pa./Archbishop Wood) posted a 97, while Connor Sadoff (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) shot 102 and Joey Craner rounded out the Lions after carding a 118.

Brandywine will compete at the Penn State Hazleton Invitational on Thursday at Valley Country Club beginning at 11:00 AM.
