Lions Post Fifth-Place Showing At Hazleton Invitational

SUGARLOAF, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine began its final week of regular-season competition before the PSUAC/USCAA Championships next week by finishing in fifth place at the Penn State Hazleton Invitational on Monday afternoon.

Playing at Valley Country Club, Jacob Sezna (Avondale, Pa./Salesianum) posted a team-low round of 87, while Sean Illanovsky (Fanwood, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood) fired a 90.

Austin Aurillo (West Chester, Pa./West Chester Rustin) carded a 94 and Brad Dawson (Southern Pines, N.C./Pinecrest) totaled 92 strokes. Nick Anderson (Phoenixville, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) added a round of 95, while Connor Sadoff (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) completed the round in 97 strokes.

Brandywine totaled a four-man score of 363 to finish fifth in the seven team field. Penn College won the invitational with a team total of 318.

Brandywine plays its final regular-season round on Thursday at the Penn State Wilkes Barre Invitational.
