Lions Wrap Up Regular Season At Rain-Shortened Wilkes-Barre Invitational
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's golf team finished in second place at the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Invitational, which was shortened to nine holes by rain, on Thursday at Irem Temple Golf Club.
Brandywine posted 176 strokes as a team, two shots off the pace of invitational champion Penn State Wilkes-Barre.
Leading the Lions was Austin Aurillo (West Chester, Pa./West Chester Rustin), who recorded a nine-hole total of 41 shots.
Brad Dawson (Southern Pines, N.C./Pinecrest) finished with a 44, while Sean Illanovsky (Fanwood, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood) carded a 45. Jacob Sezna (Avondale, Pa./Salesianum) fired a 46 and Connor Sadoff (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) collected a 47.
Brandywine will compete at the PSUAC/USCAA National Championships on Monday and Tuesday in State College. The Lions will look to improve on last year's seventh-place finish in the PSUAC and 17th-place showing in the national championship.
