Brandywine Rounds Out Golf Season At USCAA/PSUAC Championships

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine golf team closed out the 2019 fall season at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association/Penn State University Athletic Conference Golf Championships on Tuesday. The Lions finished 20th nationally and 10th in the PSUAC at the tournament, which was shortened to 18 holes because of Monday's rain.

Brad Dawson (Southern Pines, N.C./Pinecrest) led the Lions with a round of 94. He finished in a tie for 99th place.

Colin Shane (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) carded a round of 97, while Chris Deleo (West Chester, Pa.) was just behind Shane after recording 99 strokes.

Margaret Reynolds (West Chester, Pa./Westtown School) rounded out Brandywine's golfers by shooting 105. Her score was fourth-best in the women's field.

St. Mary of the Woods won the USCAA team championship with a team total of 292, paced by Colton Kuppler, who won the individual national championship, after carding a three-under-par 69. Penn State Lehigh Valley claimed the PSUAC championship and Lehigh Valley's Brian Zinman earned the conference's individual title as he shot 73 on the par-72 course.
