Brandywine Competes At Albright Fall Invitational

ORWIGSBURG, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine golf team continued its fall season at the Albright Lions Fall Invitational on Thursday afternoon at Schuylkill Country Club. The Lions finished 14th as a team in a field of NCAA Division III schools.

For the third consecutive outing, Zak Karlton (Oxford, Pa./Oxford) was the Lions' low scorer for the round. Karlton posted an 18-hole total of 91 strokes.

Just behind Karlton was Alex Barone (Glenolden, Pa./Concord), who carded a round of 92. Nathan Sauder (Pittsgrove, N.J./St. Augustine Prep) totaled 97 strokes, while Tommy McNulty (Drexel Hill, Pa./Bonner-Prendie) shot 98 and Matt Cavanaugh (Upper Darby, Pa./Bonner-Prendie) finished the round in 102 strokes.

As a team, Brandywine compiled 378 shots in the field of 15 teams. Arcadia posted the low team round of the day by amassing 314 strokes. Eastern University's Devin Cooper shot a two-over-par 74 to earn individual medalist honors.

Brandywine begins a busy final week of the regular season Monday in State College at the PSUAC Blue Course Invitational.
