Brandywine Wraps Up Regular Season At Annual Home Invitational

KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine golf team competed in its final regular season match as the Lions placed seventh at their annual home invitational at Kennett Square Golf and Country Club on Tuesday.

Brandywine finished the afternoon with a team score of 338. Elizabethtown edged Eastern by one stroke to top the eight-team field with a combined score of 300, claiming the team title.

The Lions' low scorer during the round was Zak Karlton (Oxford, Pa./Oxford), who finished in a tie for 13th overall by carding a 79. Brady Foytack (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) was three strokes behind Karlton, placing in 23rd in the 53-man field.

Matt Cavanaugh (Upper Darby, Pa./Bonner-Prendie) totaled 87 strokes, while Nathan Sauder (Pittsgrove, N.J./St. Augustine Prep) finished in 90 shots and Ty Coccia (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) tallied a round of 91.

Jared Morris (Scranton, Pa./West Scranton) recorded 95 strokes and Connor Thompson (Finksburg, Md./Westminster) completed his round in 103 shots.

Brandywine will finish out the fall season at the two-day PSUAC/USCAA Championships beginning Monday at 10:00 AM in State College, Pa.
