Lions Close Fall Season At Albright Invitational

NEW TRIPOLI, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine golf team concluded its fall season Thursday afternoon at the Albright Invitational as the Lions placed seventh at Olde Homestead Golf Club.

Matt Cavanaugh (Upper Darby, Pa./Bonner-Prendie) was the low scorer for the Lions, shooting a round of 79.

Zak Karlton (Oxford, Pa./Oxford) and Ty Coccia (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) carded identical rounds of 87, while Nathan Sauder (Pittsgrove, N.J./St. Augustine Prep) totaled 93 strokes and Brady Foytack (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) produced an 18-hole score of 95.

Brandywine recorded a team total of 346 strokes. NCAA Division II Thomas Jefferson claimed the team title in 310 shots, while Albright's Sam Elsen won medalist honors with a round of 71.
