Brandywine falls 6-1 to Me-Machias in first round USCAA National Tournament

The #8 seed, University of Maine-Machias defeated #9 Penn State University Brandywine by the score of 6-1 at Trace Fork Field. Junior forward, Alfredo Palacios, recorded a hat trick in the first half with an early goal coming two minutes into the game. Scoring for Penn State Brandywine was Bill Walleekendeh on a direct kick in the 37th minute. For the game, the Clippers outshot the Lions 20-17.

The Clippers will move onto the quarterfinals of the 2013 USCAA Men's Soccer National Championship to play #1 seed WVU Tech at Scheonbaum Field at 7:30pm on Thursday while Penn State Brandywine will move onto the consolation bracket to face #10 NHTI at Scheonbaum Field at 10:30am on Thursday.
