Walleekendeh Leads Offensive Attack In Brandywine Victory

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pennsylvania -- Junior Bill Walleekendeh (Chester, Pa./Chester) poured in four goals and totaled 11 points to lead Penn State Brandywine's offensive surge in a 10-0 victory at Penn State Schuylkill on Wednesday.

Three of Walleekendeh's goals came during a nine-score second half for the Lions, who improved to 4-1 in PSUAC play (5-7 overall).

Walleekendeh netted his first goal just two minutes into the game off a feed from Fornodson Pierre (Philadelphia, Pa./Olney Charter). The same duo connected again in the during the first minute of the second half as Walleekendeh assisted on Pierre's first of two goals, making the score 2-0.

After Pat Lutes (Drexel Hill, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) upped Brandywine's lead to three, Walleekendeh tacked on two more goals during a five-minute span midway through the final half.

Malcolm Burton (Lansdowne, Pa./Monsignor Bonner), Ian Matherson (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) and Nick Abhulimen (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) also registered goals for the Lions, who featured six different goal scorers on the day.

Brandywine held a commanding 31-4 edge in shots and tallied all 16 of the game's shots during the final 45 minutes.

Pat O'Neill (Morton, Pa./Ridley) and Will Scott-Norris (Wilmington, Del./Mt. Pleasant) combined on the shutout in goal. O'Neill stopped three shots during the first 60 minutes, while Scott-Norris did not face a scoring attempt over the final third of the match.

Brandywine goalies have now combined to blank their last four PSUAC opponents and own a 363:47 scoreless streak in five league contests since Sept. 19.

The Lions are back on the road Saturday at Penn State Mont Alto beginning at 3:00 pm.
