Brandywine Too Much For Scranton In Rout

MEDIA, Pa. -- Bill Walleekendeh (Chester, Pa./Chester) matched his own single-game school record for goals with six, highlighting a 13-0 rout by the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team over Penn State Scranton on Saturday afternoon.

Walleekendeh tied his own record that he set just two days ago in a 6-2 win over Valley Forge. He is the USCAA national leader with 19 goals and 41 points this season.

Walleekendeh scored or assisted on five of Brandywine's six first half goals, netting three scores, while adding helpers on goals by Brad Jule (Chadds Ford, Pa./Salesianum) and Mike Usher (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan). He added three-straight goals over the first 12 minutes of the second half.

Anthony Neufville (Wallingdale, Pa./Christ Academy) found the back of the net twice, while Trevin Jones (Springfield, Pa./The Christian Academy), Willmark Lucero (Hyattsville, Md./Farimont Heights) and Eduardo Gil Matos (Folsom, Pa./Wesleyan Academy) also tallied goals for Brandywine.

Joe Opdenaker (Lenni, Pa./The Christian Academy) was not tested in net, improving to 4-1, as he recorded his third shutout. Brandywine collected 51 shots.

Brandywine (4-1, 2-0 PSUAC) is idle until next Saturday when it travels to Penn State Beaver for a 2:00 pm showdown.
