Jule’s Hat Trick Propels Lions To Victory At Del Val

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. -- Senior Brad Jule (Chadds Ford, Pa./Salesianum) scored three times during the second half as the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team defeated Delaware Valley University 4-1 on Tuesday night.

Brandywine (6-1, 3-0 PSUAC) led 1-0 early in the second half when Jule netted the first of his three goals just 1:46 into the stanza.

After Del Val closed to within one with 34:51 to play, Jule pushed the lead back to two, scoring on a long shot just 1:21 later. He added another insurance goal with 19:33 remaining in regulation to finish off  the first hat trick of his career.

Bill Walleekendeh (Chester, Pa./Chester) provided the opening goal for Brandywine, his USCAA-leading 22nd of the fall, off a feed from Mike Usher (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) early in the first half.

Joe Opdenaker (Lenni, Pa./The Christian Academy) was strong in net for Brandywine, stopping eight of the nine shots he faced, to earn his sixth win of the season. Connor Hedgepeth stopped four shots for the Aggies in the loss.

Brandywine looks for its sixth win in a row on Saturday at home against Penn State Wilkes Barre at 5:00 pm.
