Lions Knock Off York 5-3

YORK, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team ran its winning streak to nine games by downing Penn State York by a 5-3 score on Wednesday afternoon.

Bill Walleekendeh (Chester, Pa./Chester) added three more goals to his USCAA-leading total of 37, while Brandon Crochunis (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) and Mike Usher (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) eached scored once. Walleekendeh also reached the 100-goal mark for his career and is the only active college men's soccer player at any level with 100 career goals

Crochunis also added an assist as did Anthony Neufville (Wallingdale, Pa./Christ Academy), Stevie DiSipio (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) and Brad Jule (Chadds Ford, Pa./Salesianum). Joe Opdenaker (Lenni, Pa./The Christian Academy) made two stops in net, earning his 10th victory.

Brandywine (10-1, 6-0 PSUAC) continues its road stretch on Saturday at Penn State Greater Allegheny at 3:00 pm.
