Lions Continue To Roll With 7-1 Victory At Mont Alto

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team saw its winning streak reach four games following a 7-1 conference victory at Penn State Mont Alto on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions now own a record of 8-3 overall and are undefeated in PSUAC play at 4-0.

Chris Riebman (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) added four more goals to his team-leading total that now sits at 11. He has registered at least one point in each match of Brandywine's four-game winning streak.

Brandon Crochunis (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) added two goals, while Jason Abu's (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) first collegiate goal accounted for Brandywine's final tally.

Mike Usher (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) recorded a pair of assists, leading a total of six Lions who dished out helpers on Saturday.

Will Scott-Norris (Wilmington, Del./Mt. Pleasant) was the winning goalkeeper after stopping a pair of shots during the first half. Joe Opdenaker (Lenni, Pa./The Christian Academy) made one save in relief of Scott-Norris during the final 45 minutes.

"It was a great effort by our team today. Chris Riebman was lights out for us with a four-goal performance. We are excited with the win, but we know Wednesday against Hazleton will be an absolute dog fight and we must be at our best for 90 minutes to get a good result," said Head Coach Jesse Zafiratos.

The Lions will host Penn State Hazleton at 2:00 pm on Wednesday in a rematch of last year's PSUAC championship match won by Brandywine by a 1-0 score.
