Brandywine Bests Scranton To Close Out Second-Straight Undefeated PSUAC Slate

MEDIA, Pa. -- For the second consecutive year, the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team completed competition against Penn State University Athletic Conference foes with an unblemished mark as the Lions posted a 5-0 victory at Penn State Scranton on Wednesday afternoon.

Brandywine, now 13-3 overall and 9-0 in the PSUAC, had already clinched the No. 1 seed in the PSUAC Tournament and will receive a bye through the quarterfinal round. The Lions will host a semifinal match on Monday, Oct. 30 at 3:00 pm. Brandywine has won its last 20 matches against conference foes dating back to 2016.

The Lions received goals from five different players on Wednesday. Chris Riebman (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) scored his conference-best 18th goal, while Brandon Crochunis (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) found the back of the net for the 12th time this season. Mohamed Camara (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) netted his 11th goal, Nate Truett (St. Thomas, Pa./James Buchanan) scored for the fourth time and Rajbir Lohat (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) collected his first collegiate goal.

Camara, Crochunis, Truett and Stevie DiSipio (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) all recorded one assist. Brandon Welden (Essington, Pa./Interboro) stopped one shot to record the shutout and earn his fifth victory in net.

Brandywine closes out the regular season with a home Friday match against Williamson Trade at 4:00 pm.
