MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine posted its fourth shutout in the last five games as the Lions extended their Penn State University Athletic Conference winning streak to five games following a 13-0 victory over Penn State Mont Alto on Sunday afternoon.
Brandywine, which has outscored its five PSUAC opponents by a total score of 48-1, recorded 47 shots and did not allow Mont Alto to register a shot attempt.
Joey Cairy (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) got the scoring started early, netting the first of his three goals at the 14:59 mark. Brandywine added four more scores from four different goal scorers during the first half and then tacked on eight scores in the final 45 minutes.
Evan Roland (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) and Mohamed Camara (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) both collected two goals. Roland added one assist, while Steve Medvid (Springfield, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) recorded a goal and two assists and Khafren Smith (Philadelphia, Pa./Science Leadership Academy) dished out three helpers.
Brandywine (7-2-2, 5-0 PSUAC) continues its homestand Wednesday afternoon against Penn State Lehigh Valley for Senior Day at 4:00 PM.
