Willie Scores Four In Brandywine’s Senior Day Victory

MEDIA, Pa. -- Daniel Willie (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) netted a career-high four goals, leading the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team to a 6-0 victory over Penn State Lehigh Valley on Senior Day Wednesday afternoon.

Brandywine hit the post with shots three times during the first 20 minutes before finally getting on the board with Willie's goal at the 30:56 mark. He added a second tally exactly three minutes later, upping the lead to 2-0.

Stevie DiSipio (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) headed home Mohamed Camara's (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) crossing pass with under two minutes remaining before halftime to put the Lions in charge by three goals at the break.

Willie completed his hat trick off a feed from Brandon Crochunis (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) in the 47th minute and collected his fourth score, again assisted by Crochunis, who tallied three helpers overall, at the 52:02 mark. Camara completed the scoring with five minutes to play in regulation.

Brandywine controlled play throughout the match, outshooting Lehigh Valley 30-5 and attempting 10 corner kicks, compared to Lehigh Valley's three.

Brandon Welden (Essington, Pa./Interboro) went untested in net during the first half to earn his eighth win, while Jared Sebzda (Warminster, Pa./William Tennett) stopped one shot during the second half as the Lions' goalkeepers combined on their sixth shutout of the year.

Brandywine (8-2-2, 6-0 PSUAC) clashes with Penn State New Kensington on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM.
