Brandywine Secures PSUAC Regular-Season Title

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine clinched the Penn State University Athletic Conference men's soccer regular-season title for the fourth-straight season on Sunday afternoon by rolling past Penn State Hazleton 10-0 in a rematch of last year's conference tournament title game.

The victory upped Brandywine's conference record to 8-0 and gave the Lions their 32nd-straight PSUAC victory. Brandywine will be the No. 1 seed in the PSUAC Tournament and will host a tournament semifinal match after receiving a bye through the quarterfinals.

Mohamed Camara (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) and Daniel Willie (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) both posted three goals to pace the Lions' offensively. Camara added an assist, one of nine Lions to register a helper, to give him a seven-point day.

Evan Roland (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley), Brandon Crochunis (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East), Ian Roland (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) and Joey Cairy (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) also tallied goals for Brandywine, which outshot Hazleton 57-3.

Jared Sebzda (Warminster, Pa./William Tennett) played all 90 minutes in net, blocking all three shots he faced, to earn his first career victory and shutout.

Brandywine scored six times during the opening 45 minutes and added four more goals to its lead during the second half. The Lions have now outscored their eight conference opponents 70-1 this season.

One day earlier, James Cellucci (Rosemont, Pa./Radnor) scored twice to highlight a 6-0 victory over Penn State New Kensington. The Lions outshot the visitors 44-3. Crochunis registered a pair of assists, while Camara, Evan Roland, Ian Roland and Willie all found the back of the net.

Brandywine has three matches remaining during the regular season beginning with a short road trip to Williamson on Thursday for a 6:30 PM match.
