Willie Named USCAA Men’s Soccer Player Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- The United States Collegiate Athletic Association named Penn State Brandywine sophomore Daniel Willie (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) as its men's soccer player of the week on Tuesday.

Willie jumpstarted the Lion offense last week, scoring eight goals in three Brandywine victories. He totaled 17 points overall during the week.

On Wednesday against Penn State Lehigh Valley, Willie set a career high by scoring four times in a 6-0 triumph. He netted two goals during each half, recording his first career hat trick.

Willie did not have to wait long for his second hat trick as four days later, he poured in three goals in a lopsided Brandywine win over Penn State Hazleton. He scored twice during the match's first 15 minutes and added a third score during the 57th minute.

Brandywine's leading scorer, Willie added a goal and an assist in a win over Penn State New Kensington on Saturday. This season, he owns a team-best 15 goals and 34 points, along with four assists.

Brandywine (10-2-2, 8-0 PSUAC) goes for its ninth-straight win Thursday afternoon at home against Williamson.
