Bio

Scott McTigue began his tenure at Penn State Brandywine on Nov. 1, 2023 and opens his first season as head coach of the Lions' men's and women's tennis teams this spring.

McTigue arrived at Brandywine after a 14-year stint at NCAA Division III Immaculata University. Following three years as an assistant coach, McTigue spent the final 11 years of his tenure leading the Mighty Macs’ men’s and women’s tennis programs. A two-time Atlantic East Conference Coach of the Year, McTigue earned over 120 victories, including an 83-58 record on the women’s side.

McTigue guided Immaculata’s women’s team to conference championships in 2019 and 2021. Under his tutelage, three Mighty Mac student-athletes earned conference player of the year honors, while two were named Atlantic East Rookie of the Year.

A graduate of Upsala College, McTigue played the his final three seasons of tennis at Division III Upsala after beginning his collegiate career at NCAA Division I Rider University. He was a Middle Atlantic Conference doubles champion as a junior.

McTigue has also served as the tennis director at Camp Tioga and as a tennis professional at the Upper Main Line YMCA in Berwyn.
