Li, Troncelliti Race At USCAA National Championship

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Sophomore John Li (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) and freshman Alex Troncelliti (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) represented the Penn State Brandywine men's cross country team at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Cross Country Championship on Friday morning in Virginia Beach.

Li, making his second appearance at the national championship race in as many years, placed 82nd in the field of 172 runners. He completed the 8K race in a time of 30:17, a 1:47 improvement compared to his time at the 2015 championship race.

Li qualified for the national meet following a fifth-place showing at the PSUAC Championship in October when he earned his second-straight First Team All-PSUAC award.

Troncelliti was the 113th runner to cross the finish line after clocking a time of 32:23. A second team all-conference runner, Troncelliti was one of the top freshmen runners at the national meet.

SUNY Delhi won the men's team championship, while Isaiah Dodson of Berea College posted the top individual time.
