Amanda Congialdi scores her 1,000th career point at Brandywine

Senior Amanda Congialdi from Academy Park has become the tenth and newest member to enter the Penn State Brandywine 1,000 point club since 2007! Congialdi is a four year member of the women's basketball team. Starting her career at Brandywine in 2010 she has been hard at work to reach this achievement and tonight was her night! Congialdi did so in thefirst two minutes of the game with a jump shot assisted by Myeisha Matos. The game was stopped and Congialdi was presented the game ball by Athletic Director Jim Gastner. She will be honored with a 1,000 point banner hanging in the gym at the conclusion of her career with the Brandywine Lady Lions.

The Lions  completed the night with a victory over PS York, 77-65. Congialdi totaled 16 points and nine rebounds. Olivia Encarnacion added 17 points, seven rebounds and three steals while Stacey MacArthur drained 14 points for the Lady Lions. For more on this victory click here!
