MEDIA, Pa. -- After leading Penn State Brandywine to its fourth Penn State University Athletic Conference championship on Sunday, Chrissy Gledhill (Secane, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) was selected as the women's basketball player of the week by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.

Gledhill scored a career-high 26 points during the Lions' 71-53 victory over Penn State Hazleton. She buried seven three-pointers, the most by a Brandywine women's basketball player in over a decade, and hit 9-of-15 shots from the field overall in 27 minutes.

During three games in the PSUAC Tournament last week, Gledhill connected on nine triples and averaged 12.3 points per game as Brandywine claimed its first conference crown since the 2010-11 season.

In 19 games this winter, Gledhill ranks fifth on the team in scoring (7.2 ppg) and is the Lions' second-leading three-point shooter, knocking down 28 triples.

With its conference championship, Brandywine earned the league's automatic bid to the USCAA Tournament beginning on March 2. The USCAA will announce seeding and first-round pairings tonight at 5:00 pm.
