ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine women's basketball team suffered a 78-61 setback during their season-opening game at Rosemont College on Saturday afternoon.

The first quarter belonged to Brandywine as the Lions led by as many as six points following a pair of free throws from Brandi James (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) at the midway point of the period and owned a 20-16 edge at the conclusion of the stanza.

However, the second quarter went Rosemont's way. The Ravens netted the first seven points of the stanza and pushed their lead to nine points at 39-30 by halftime.

The Lions trailed 60-49 entering the final period, but Rosemont pulled away by netting the first 10 points of the quarter to secure control of the game.
