Floyd Earns PSUAC Weekly Honor

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine freshman Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) was lauded as the Penn State University Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Floyd needed just 16 minutes of action to tally 16 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals as Brandywine defeated Penn State New Kensington 85-33 during its only matchup of the week. She was 6-of-9 shooting from the field and buried 4-of-6 three-point attempts.

Floyd has started all 17 games this season, averaging 13.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per outing, both good for second on the team, while tying for the team lead in steals (2.2 spg). She ranks fourth among PSUAC freshmen and 14th overall in the league in scoring.

Brandywine (11-6, 8-3 PSUAC) visits Penn State Wilkes-Barre Tuesday night for a 6:00 pm tip-off.
