Amanda Floyd Earns Second PSUAC Player Of The Week Award

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine's Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) was named Penn State University Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season on Tuesday.

Floyd set career highs with 30 points and six three-pointers, while recording her second double-double of the year, in a 67-47 victory over Penn State Scranton last week.

After entering halftime with seven points, Floyd errupted for a 17-point third quarter, including scoring 14-straight Brandywine points in a span of 1:52, helping extend the Lions' lead from three points to 14 points. She shot 6-for-8 during the quarter, knocking down all three of her three-point attempts.

In addition to producing her second 10-rebound game of the season, Floyd also tallied three steals and a career-high four blocked shots against Scranton.

The conference's second-leading scorer, Floyd is averaging 15.9 points through 16 games this winter. She ranks third in the conference with 13 blocked shots and sixth with 36 steals, while averaging 6.6 rebounds per outing, good for third on the team.

Brandywine (7-10, 4-4 PSUAC) travels to Penn State Hazleton on Wednesday night for a 6:00 PM PSUAC matchup.
