Floyd Scores 36 In Senior Night Rout

MEDIA, Pa. -- Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) celebrated her senior night by pouring in a career-high 36 points as the Penn State Brandywine women's basketball team routed Penn State Mont Alto 90-39 on Friday night.

Floyd had 23 points by halftime, aided by six three-pointers, and finished the night with seven triples, along with six rebounds, six steals and two blocked shots. The 30-point game, which tied for the third-highest, single-game performance in team history, was her third of the season and fourth of her career.

Kiara Koger (Philadelphia, Pa./Neumann-Goretti) produced a 12-point, 13-rebound double-double and tallied five assists and three steals, while Anaiyah Allen (Lutz, Fla./Steinbrenner) notched 10 points, six assists and five boards. Trinell Watson (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) recorded all 14 of her points during the fourth quarter.

Brandywine's 90 points set a season-high as the Lions shot 42 percent from the field, canned 10 three-pointers and made 12-of-14 free throw attempts.

Floyd carried the scoring load from the start, tallying 13 first-quarter points to help Brandywine claim a 21-8 edge through 10 minutes. The Lions' lead continued to grow in the second quarter as a quick, 7-0 spurt pushed the margin to 27 points midway through the period and Brandywine carried a 43-20 edge into the break.

Brandywine eased through the second half, outscoring Mont Alto 47-19, en route to the 51-point victory.

The Lions limited the visitors to 29 percent shooting from the field and netted 36 points off 35 Mont Alto turnovers.

Brandywine (11-12, 10-7 PSUAC) plays its final home game of the season Monday night against Penn State Lehigh Valley at 6:00 PM.
