Rachel Weir Selected PSUAC Offensive Player Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine freshman Rachel Weir (Neptune City, N.J./Red Bank Regional) claimed the Penn State University Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week Award on Tuesday.

Weir tallied three points with a goal and an assist during Brandywine's 3-0 victory over Immaculata University last Thursday.

Brandywine led 1-0 in the 39th minute when Weir sent a crossing pass to Ami Iannello (Media, Pa./Strath Haven), who tapped the ball into an open net, doubling the Lions' lead.

With just 12 seconds remaining before halftime, Weir punched in her first collegiate goal off a feed from Brianna Banks (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway Center) to give Brandywine a 3-0 edge.

Brandywine travels to Keystone Wednesday afternoon for a 4:00 pm match.
