Brandywine Duo Earns Sweep Of PSUAC Weekly Awards

MEDIA, Pa. -- Following a 2-0 victory over Penn State Hazleton last week, Penn State Brandywine women's soccer players Brianna Banks (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway Center) and Emily Bush (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional) were named players of the week by the Penn State University Athletic Conference. Banks was selected as offensive player of the week, while Bush garnered goalkeeper of the week laurels.

Banks, who earned her third conference player of the week selection of the season, scored both goals during the victory over Hazleton. She improved her league-leading goal total to 14 in eight games and has now scored at least two goals in five matches this fall.

With two more points, Banks will become Brandywine's first ever women's soccer player to reach 100 career points. In just 24 matches, Banks owns 44 goals and 10 assists for a total of 98 points.

Bush has now claimed PSUAC Goalkeeper of the Week accolades all five weeks this fall. She made six saves to record her second-straight shutout and third overall this season. In eight starts, Bush has compiled league-leading totals with seven victories, a .825 save percentage and 0.93 goals-against average.

Brandywine hosts Penn State Beaver on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
