Banks Named PSUAC Player Of The Week; Bush, Chattin Share Goalie of the Week Honor

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine's Brianna Banks (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway Center) was named Penn State University Athletic Conference Player of the Week, while Emily Bush (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional) and Danielle Chattin (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway Center) were selected as the co-goalkeepers of the week following a 6-0 victory over Penn State Beaver last week.

Banks netted three goals in the win, extending her PSUAC-leading total to seven this fall. After Brandywine took a 1-0 lead, Banks helped secure the victory by scoring three consecutive goals.

Her player of the week award is the eighth of her three-year career, including the second this season. The two-time all-American owns 57 goals and 13 assists for 127 total points during 34 career games.

Bush and Chattin both played 45 minutes between the pipes during the victory. Bush played the first half, earning her first victory of the season, while Chattin stopped all four shots during the second half to preserve the Lions' shutout.

The victory was the 24th of Bush's career in 34 matches. She owns 21 saves this season, fourth-most in the PSUAC. Chattin played her first minutes in goal of the season after starting three times in the field during the non-conference portion of Brandywine's schedule.

Brandywine (1-3, 1-0 PSUAC) and Penn State Lehigh Valley face off on Friday at 4:00 PM.
