Wesley Edges Brandywine 1-0

DOVER, Del. -- A Wesley goal in the 47th minute was the difference as the host Wolverines downed Penn State Brandywine 1-0 in non-conference women's soccer action Wednesday night in Dover.

Mackenzie Forsythe scored an unassisted goal at the 46:26 mark to provide all of the scoring. Wesley held a 9-2 edge in shot attempts; however, the Wolverines put just one on target, but it was enough to claim the victory.

The Lions, who also were topped in a one-goal match at Wesley last season, recorded a pair of shots. Brianna Banks (Philadelphia, Pa./Parkway Center) posted a shot, as did Bryonna Worthy (Old Bridge, N.J./The Hun School of Princeton).

Isabelle Fabris earned the win in goal for Wesley, while Emily Bush (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional) took the loss between the pipes after playing all 90 minutes for Brandywine.

Brandywine (0-2) plays on its home field for the first time in 2019 on Sunday when the Lions host Bryn Mawr at noon.
