MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine seniors accounted for all five goals as the Lions' women's soccer team celebrated Senior Day with a 5-0 victory over Penn State Beaver on Saturday.
Jess James (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) and Zoey Lineman (West Deptford, N.J./GCIT) both scored twice, while Caitlin Kaiser (Hackettstown, N.J./Hackettstown) netted her first collegiate goal. The Lions' fourth senior, Gia Cetroni (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West), recorded an assist and two shots on goal.
Cetroni linked up with Lineman for Brandywine's first score of the day at the 9:30 mark. James found the back of the net twice in a span of less than two minutes, while Lineman added her second goal during the 34th minute, to give Brandywine a 4-0 edge at the half.
Kaiser put a cap on the scoring just before the buzzer, recording her first goal off a feed from Sierra Coleman (Folcroft, Pa./Academy Park).
Brandywine held a 23-0 edge in shots and recorded all four of the match's corner kicks. Demareste Dorvilma (Carteret, N.J./Carteret) went untested over 65 minutes in net to earn the win for the Lions.
Brandywine (7-4-1, 6-1 PSUAC) is back on the road Wednesday at Penn State Hazleton at 6:00 PM.
