Brandywine Women's Tennis loses 5-4 to Rosemont.

Starting off with a 3-0 deficit due to unavailable players, the Penn State Brandywine Women's Tennis team incured a tough loss by the score of 5-4 against visiting Rosemont College.

For the Brandywine women solid wins in singles came from Emily Seeburger (Conestoga) at the 1 position by a score of 6-0,6-4, Kristen Genzel (Springfield) won at #2 by a score of 6-2,6-4 as she rallied back from a 4-1 deficit in the 2nd set and Laura Masse (Penncrest) won decisively at 4th singles, by scores of 1 and 2.  Heather Gartside of Ridley lost a tough 3 setter 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 to  Asha Anderson.   Rosemont had their #1 and #2 singles players teamed up at 2nd doubles for a victory over Gartside and Masse, 8-4 while  Emily Seeburger and Kristina Genzel won at 1st doubles 8-3 over Kirsten Sanford and Uayla Coad.  Unfortunately the shortage of players for this match was costly as I would definitely expect a different outcome had we have a full contingent of player, according to Brandywine Coach Lloyd Vernon (Upper Darby).

Next home match for Brandywine is this Saturday, August 7, at noon against Penn College of Williamsport.
