Tennis Drops Home Dual To FDU-Florham
MEDIA, Pa. -- FDU-Florham posted a pair of tennis victories over Penn State Brandywine on Thursday afternoon, winning the women's match 9-0 and taking the men's bout 8-1.
On the men's side, James Cellucci (Rosemont, Pa./Radnor) and Stevie DiSipio (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) gave the Lions their lone match of the day after winning their No. 2 doubles match 8-4.
Phuc Nguyen Ho (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) and Duc Luong (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) dropped a tightly-contested No. 1 doubles match 9-7. Ho won three points during his top-flight singles match, while Cellucci collected four points, dropping both sets of his No. 4 singles match, 6-2.
For the Brandywine women, Stephanie Bryan (Drexel Hill, Pa./Ridley) won seven points during her No. 2 singles contest, but fell 6-3, 6-4. Katie Corey (Lansdowne, Pa./Agora Cyber Charter) picked up four points as she dropped the top-flight singles 6-3, 6-1.
Both teams close out the regular season at home Saturday against Bryn Athyn beginning at 2:00 pm.
