Brandywine Runs At Oscar Moore Invitational

GLASSBORO, N.J. -- The Penn State Brandywine track and field teams continued their spring outdoor season on Saturday afternoon at the Oscar Moore Invitational on the campus of Rowan University.

Leading the way for the Lions was Raheem Naughty (Philadelphia, Pa./Boys Latin), whose time of 51.71 was the fifth-fastest, 400-meter time. Ezenwa Osuagwu (Wilmington, Del./Mt. Pleasant) posted a time of 58.51 during the same race.

Jasper Seay (Landenberg, Pa./Kennett) and David Irby (Glenolden, Pa./Sun Valley) finished 11th and 12th, respectively, during the 800-meter run as Seay posted a time of 2:18.24 and Irby crossed the line just 0.16 seconds later.

Brooke Theveny (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) was the 15th-fastest woman at 1,500 meters, running to a time of 7:02.34, while Nate Sobers' (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) turned in a time of 24.82 in the 200-meter dash.

James Uyanna (Philadelphia, Pa./John Bartram) and Jamir Walker (Secane, Pa./Upper Darby) represented the Lions in a pair of field events. Uyanna's throw of 8.21 meters placed him eighth in the shot put, while Walker posted a leap of 5.61 meters, finishing 12th in the long jump competition.

Brandywine will compete at Widener University for the second time in three weeks on Saturday, April 15 during the Chester Quarry Classic.
