Hannah Mummert Signs With Brandywine Cross County, Track & Field Teams

MEDIA, Pa. -- Hannah Mummert, a senior at nearby Bayard Rustin High School, will join the Penn State Brandywine women's cross country and track & field teams during the 2020-21 academic year.

Mummert competed in four seasons of indoor and outdoor track & field, while running cross country during her final three high school years. At Rustin, Mummert's track events included the 200- and 400-meter sprints and the 100- and 300-meter hurdles.

Mummert was a four-time Ches-Mont League Championship hurdles qualifier, doing so three times at 300 meters and at 100 meters in 2017.

Mummert says that she chose to attend Penn State Brandywine "because I really liked the campus and everyone I've met so far at Brandywine has been so incredibly nice and welcoming. I am also very excited for an opportunity to run track and XC after high school."

The Brandywine women's cross country team will look to win its first PSUAC championship since 2015 next fall, while the track & field team enters its fifth year as a varsity sport on campus and fourth season under the direction of Head Coach Tim Sanville in 2020-21.
