Brandywine pushes through a tough non league start to their first win.

Brandywine Volleyball has had a rocky start to their 2012 season. With two injuries plaguing the team early Brandywine is looking to the returners to unite the team and the strong freshman class to rise to the challenge.

Dropping three sets to Rowan in the first match showed Brandywine's weaknesses and strengths. With each point the Lady Lions fought and learned valuable lessons but were unable to pull it together against the fast offense of Rowan. Albright challenged the young Lions as well with their ability to move the ball. Brandywine took one set but still couldn't connect as a team and again fell to their opponent, 1-3.

The home opener against Delaware Valley proved to this fresh team that it isn't all about the big picture. That lose sparked the fire to a big win against Bryn Athyn 3-1. Focusing on the fundamentals and communication Brandywine fought for every point and celebrated their first victory of the season.
