Brandywine downs two more to advance to 11-1 in league.

Penn State Brandywine Volleyball hosted their third annual Dig Pink Volleyball tournament this Saturday, October 5. They hosted three PSUAC teams: PS Schuylkill, PS Hazleton and Penn College in four matches over two courts.

Penn State Brandywine Volleyball came out on top of both PS Hazleton and Penn College defeating them in three sets each. The first match was against Penn State Hazleton, a team that Brandywine faced earlier in the season and beat in four sets. Today was a different story as Brandywine was able to take Hazleton readily 25-17, 25-20, 25-13. Sophomore Nicole Costa lead the front row with nine kills. Sophomore setter Miranda Biondi lead with 13 assists and five aces on the match. Kate Cowan, Kirsten Jerla and Emily Battista contributed two kills each.

Penn College held their own in the first set of the second match but the Brandywine Lady Lions were able to force a win to overcome the Wildcats 3-0: 27-25, 25-15, 25-20. Kate Cowan had 11 kills and two digs. Nicole Costa had seven kills and three solo blocks. Kim Russo, Kelsi Wiest and Devan Russo grounded the backrow with 23 digs (10, 7, 6 repectively).
