Lions Continue To Roll With Straight-Set Victory At Rosemont

ROSEMONT, Pennsylvania – The Penn State Brandywine volleyball team won for the ninth time in 10 matches, picking up a 3-0 victory at NCAA Division III Rosemont on Tuesday night in Alumnae Hall.

Brandywine, which now owns three victories over Division III opponents during the last 10 days, upped its record to 9-5 (5-1 PSUAC). Seven of the Lions nine triumphs this fall have come in straight sets.

Freshman Nicole Poissant registered 24 assists, nine digs, five aces and four kills to lead Brandywine. Junior Kimberly Russo recorded a trio of aces and nine digs, while classmate Molly Nichols also tallied nine digs.

Junior Nicole Costa paced the Lions with seven kills, while classmate Kristen Jerla and freshman Melanie Kempf both added six kills.

The Lions look to continue their winning ways when they travel to Bethlehem Pa., to face Moravian on Thursday at 7:00 pm.
