Poissant Claims Third Player Of The Week Award

MEDIA, Pa. -- For the third time this fall, Penn State Brandywine junior Nikki Poissant (Aston, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) was named volleyball player of the week by the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Poissant averaged 13.0 kills and 21.0 digs per match during a pair of Brandywine victories last week. She registered 14 kills and 22 digs in a 3-0 win over Penn State Lehigh Valley and added 12 kills and 20 digs during a 3-1 triumph at Bryn Athyn, giving her 12 double-figure kill performances and five 20-dig efforts this season.

The conference leader in kills, Poissant has posted 224 in 21 matches, while adding a league-best 53 aces. She also stands second in the conference with 281 digs.

Brandywine (16-5, 10-1 PSUAC) hosts Penn State Mont Alto on Senior Night Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
